Cycling in the Alps

I am an avid cycler (mostly road but also mountain) and can recommend many routes from our vacation apartment into the surrounding areas.

Here are some of my favorite routes:

Annaberg > Postalm > Bad Ischl > Gosau > Annaberg (101 km and about 1800 metres of climbing – look for pictures of Postalm and Gosau in our summer photos)

Annaberg > St. Martin > Radstadt > Ramsau-Leiten > Filzmoos > St. Martin > Annaberg (94 km and about 1400 m of climbing)

Annaberg > Abtenau > Scheffau > Tenneck > St. Martin > Annaberg (75 km total and about 800 m of climbing)


I haven’t actually done it yet but the Grossglockner would be a fabulous ride. The following are from a trip over from the Zell am See side on May 8th, 2011.
